David Greenleaf House
The Society of the Founders of Norwich, Connecticut are pleased to announce that the The David Greenleaf House project has received a Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism Matching Grant The David Greenleaf House is located adjacent to the museum. The matching grant is solely for the physical improvements to the first floor and basement area. These areas will be used for Museum purposes such as General reception center, ticket booth, displays, Board Room, administrative and educational rooms. The property will also provide space for additional bus and car parking areas. The build-out of the top floor is also in progress. Construction Update
Posted: August 29, 2010: The Strickland Construction has begun the renovation of #2 Town Street. The basement back wall has been opened and a new cement floor will be poured before the wall is replaced. Anyone interested in contributing to the rehab should send their check to Society of the Founders of Norwich, PO Box 13, Norwich, CT 06360. The Society of the Founders is a 501c(3) and all contributions are tax deductible per IRS code. Per Millennium Project chairperson Stan Lucas "the work will be completed from the inside out. The outside will be the last to change but the inside will soon be a beehive of activity so long as the funding continues."
