Beryl's BulletinsHeroes of the Storm!Greetings! The heroes of the storm were Greg Stott for plowing the driveway and parking area and our fearless leader and President Jay Deming and his neighbor who created the paths seen in the pictures here, while I mostly stood around and watched in amazement at what they accomplished in less than two hours. What I had accomplished in my brief half hour alone was pitiful in comparison.
Our many thanks to Claire Bessette of the New London Day and the Day newspaper for publishing our plea for help with the snow removal. The CT Tigers of Norwich have stepped up once again as a vital and contributing community member and called to say - "We are part of the Norwich community. We are here to help if you need us. Call us!" - Believe me folks, I will be calling them! Oh and I almost forgot, our supply of snow for snowmen has arrived and is available for free on our lawns with extra still in the driveway, walkways and paths. Thanks to the very generous donation its available and free for the taking! Stay warm, safe and drink lots of cocoa! On a personal note - thanks for the e-mails and phone calls about my sore elbow. The problem only appears when I have to throw the snow above my waist height and not just push it out of the way. (I'm 5 feet tall so until the melt, I'm pretty much done with shoveling.)
