Help, We Need Snow Removal Help!
January 9, 2011: After heavy snow a few days ago, snow fell again last night and more is predicted through March.
The City of Norwich laws mandate that the street sidewalks be cleared of snow within a certain amount of time after a snowfall. Greg always plows out the driveway and Saturday Matt was the hero to the rescue when I complained about my elbow and he shoveled the sidewalks and even paths to the doors of the museum! But he is not able to do it every time.
A hero or heroine is needed to accept responsibility for removing the snow from the sidewalk in front of the museum beginning at the David Greenleaf House all the way to the RT 2 & RT 32 connector and a path leading to the visitor entrance and a path to the service entrance facing Washington Street from the driveway.
Someone is needed to step forward to volunteer, to pay for a contractor, partially pay for a contractor, arrange for volunteers, teenagers, scouts, maybe someone with a snowblower or mini-plow. We believe that with the snowfall predicted for the next week or so we'll need this kind of help clearing the walks and paths.
Please, won't someone step forward to accept this seasonal responsibility! Will you volunteer for the next snow fall? If so, please contact Beryl. Thank you!
