2025 Events: 350th Anniversary

Sept.20, Annual Return of Benedict Arnold Learn about both sides of the infamous Benedict, 11:30 & 1:30 presentations by Benedict Arnold & General Washington plus comments by Ethan Allen & Fort Griswold. Intro by Arnold descendant & the Spy. Museum display of Arnold memorabilia, including his sword, Wedges of Time & the Kingston Reds. At 1pm The Flock Theatre of New London annual delivery of Arnold’s well coffined ‘Patriot Leg’ to Norwich Mayor

Oct. 4, 366th Anniversary of the Founding of Norwich. 11:15 am: Crow & Cauldron Witch Dancers open the Business sponsored scarecrow garden. Noon: History of the Founding of Norwich with City & State proclamations on the Founding of the City, Bell ringing for 35 Founding Families. Hunt for Scarecrows in the garden & I Spy A Founder hunt with prizes, Big Bear Trading, Native Trader & Sheldon’s Horse Dragoons. Founders cake for all to enjoy!

Oct.18, Taste the History of Chocolate Pewter Pot Fine Spiced Chocolate will take you on a journey of discovery of the origin of chocolate, & its connection to Norwich. Taste an original chocolate drink and later recipes! 

Oct.18. Haunted History with Arrowhead, 6:30-12 pm, $30 adult, $25 12-17, learn the equipment, do the investigation, reserve at redlakenation24@gmail.com

Oct.25. When History Speaks, presentation of paranormal findings & teaching investigation for the entities 7-10:30 pm. Tickets on Eventbrite: $20 presentation only, $50 exploration, both $65. Please, no one under 18 allowed.

Nov.1  Saturday, 2025 season last day at both museums Nov.1, 3-5pm, Celebrate the Day of the Dead & Ghost Hunt for youngsters, hear stories of the people who lived here, treats, wear a costume 12 & younger, parents welcome, Tickets $15 on Eventbrite

Nov. 8 & 9, Clockmakers of Windham & New London Counties. A NEW Presentation & Clock display. Thomas Harland returns with 18 unique clocks made by clockmakers in Windham & New London counties. An Interactive & hands on experience. Limited space, 2 days-4 groups, 10 person per group. $25 pp on Eventbrite
